Gül Üret is a Danish-Turkish social scientist (Ph.D.) based in Copenhagen, working on topics related to migration, belonging, and integration. She has lived abroad for six years across three countries to study and work. This has deepened her interest in how newcomers navigate life in a new society, and the dynamics that shape the migrant experience and migrant integration. Born and raised in Denmark, she spends most of her free time in the Mediterranean. Gül is News & Culture Editor on The Danish Dream, where she shares insights, stories, and tips to help migrants better understand Danish society and feel more at home in Denmark.
